The day will start by crossing the river Nile to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings.  The valley is known to contain 63 tombs and chambers. The royal tombs are decorated with scenes from Egyptian mythology. They give clues as to the beliefs and funerary rituals of that period. Each tomb varies in size ranging from a size of a small pit to a complex tomb with over 120 chambers.

From here you will take a short trip to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Queen Hatshepsut is known as one of the most important queens to ever rule Egypt. The tour guide will give you her story in detail of how she came to the throne. How she lost the throne. How she is remembered to some as one of the greatest pharaohs to have ruled Egypt.

See the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. The colossi reach a towering 60ft in height and are believed to weigh an estimated 720 tons each. They have stood in the Theban Necropolis for the past 3,400 years.
